     10/12/12... (Box Score) Kelsey Shanabrook (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) and Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.) combined for 26 kills to help the Lady Cat volleyball team bounce back from a tough loss on Wednesday with a 25-19, 25-21, 25-18 WVIAC sweep at the University of Charleston (WV) on Friday.  Pitt-Johnstown improved to 10-6 overall and 3-4 in the WVIAC.
     Shanabrook finished with a match-high 15 kills and five digs, while Kendera added 11 kills and seven total blocks.
     The Lady Cats also got seven kills and a block from Ashley DiRado (Greensburg, Pa.) and four kills and a pair of blocks from Larissa Swank (Boswell, Pa.).
     Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.) had 19 set assists and seven digs, and Nikki Oakes (Pittsburgh, Pa.) finished with 13 assists, 10 digs, and four service aces.  Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) collected 19 digs, and Karen Schmidt (Boswell, Pa.) had 12 digs for Pitt-Johnstown in the sweep.
     With the loss, Charleston fell to 8-12 overall and 3-3 in the WVIAC.
     The Lady Cats continue a stretch of six straight road matches at West Virginia State University on Saturday and at Shepherd (WV) University on Wednesday.  Pitt-Johnstown will play its next home match on October 23 when Point Park University visits the Sports Center for a non-conference match at 6 p.m.
