     10/06/12... (Box Score) Olivia Augustine's goal with under seven minutes to play led Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College to a 2-1 conference victory over the Lady Cat soccer team, Saturday afternoon at Richland High School.  Karley Staffen (Monongahela, Pa.) scored the lone goal for Pitt-Johnstown, which slipped to 8-4-0 overall and 4-3-0 in the WVIAC.
     Nicole Lehman took Sarah Holmes' long through ball and turned it into a breakaway goal just over a minute into the match to put Alderson-Broaddus up 1-0.
     The score reamined the same until the 53rd minute when Staffen's blast found the top of the net behind Alderson-Broaddus goalkeeper Kate Laird to knot it at one.
     However, Augustine capitalized on another breakaway in the 84th minute to give Alderson-Broaddus the lead for good.
     Rebekah Schultz (Allison Park, Pa.) took the loss in net for Pitt-Johnstown after replacing Timi Shiock (Punxsutawney, Pa.) to start the second half.  Shultz made six saves.  Shiock played the first half and allowed one goal.  Shiock also made five saves.  Laird earned the win for the Battlers after allowing one goal and making one save.
     With the win, Alderson-Broaddus improved to 7-3-1 overall and 4-1-0 in the WVIAC.
     The Lady Cats travel to Salem International (WV) University for a non-conference match on Tuesday, before returning home to celebrate Senior Night with a WVIAC match against Seton Hill University on Sunday, October 14 at 6 p.m. at Richland High School.
