Charleston Ends Lady Cat Soccer Win Streak at Four
     10/02/12... (Box Score) In a mid-season battle for the top spot in the WVIAC standings, Renee Boudreau's second half goal led the University of Charleston (WV) to a 1-0 victory over the Lady Cat soccer team, Tuesday afternoon at Johnstown's Point Stadium.  The loss snapped Pitt-Johnstown's four-match winning streak and dropped the Lady Cats to 8-3-0 overall and 4-2-0 in conference-play.
     Boudreau turned Brittany Loveland's long throughball into a breakaway and beat Lady Cat goalkeeper Timi Shiock (Punxsutawney, Pa.) for the match's lone goal in the 61st minute of play.
     Charleston goalkeeper Coutney Budd held Pitt-Johnstown scoreless the final 29 minutes to earn the shutout.  Budd faced nine Lady Cat shots and made four saves.
     Shiock took the loss for Pitt-Johnstown after allowing the one goal on 23 Golden Eagles' shots.  Shiock also made 10 saves to keep the Lady Cats in the match.
     With the win, Charleston evened its overall record at 5-5-1 and improved to 4-1-1 in the WVIAC.
     The Lady Cats wrap-up a stretch of five straight home WVIAC matches against Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College on Saturday at noon at Richland High School.  Pitt-Johnstown will then travel to Salem International (WV) University for a non-conference match on October 9.
