Mountain Cats Fall, 2-0, to Ninth-Ranked Charleston
     10/04/12... (Box Score) Ninth-ranked University of Charleston (WV) scored a pair of second half goals to remain undefeated and deal the Mountain Cat soccer team a tough, 2-0 WVIAC loss, Thursday afternoon at the Richland AYSO Field in Johnstown.  Pitt-Johnstown dropped to 1-9-0 overall and 1-4-0 in the WVIAC.
     After a scoreless first half, Brett Elliott took a cross from Renan Ramos and chipped it over Mountain Cat goalkeeper Eddie Stover (New Kensington, Pa.) in the 66th minute to put Charleston up 1-0.
     Seven minutes later, a clearing attempt by Pitt-Johnstown's Keegan Donovan (Pittsburgh, Pa.) was headed into the Mountain Cat goal for an own-goal to give the Golden Eagles a 2-0 advantage.
     Stover faced 25 Charleston shots and made nine saves, but suffered the loss.  Sean Teepen got the shutout in net for the Golden Eagles after seeing four Mountain Cat shots and making two saves.
     Charleston kept its unbeaten streak alive and improved to 7-0-2 overall and 4-0-0 in the WVIAC.
     The Mountain Cats will host a WVIAC match against Seton Hill University on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before traveling to Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College for another conference match on October 13.
