Women's Cross Country

Cross Country 7th at WVIAC Championships
     10/24/09...Stacy Goode (Pleasant Plain, OH) placed 10th to earn first-team all-conference honors and lead the Lady Cat cross country team to a seventh-place finish at Saturday's 81-runner field WVIAC Championships at Glenville State (WV) College.  Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College's Sherry Borson won medalist honors with a time of 25:35, but West Virginia Wesleyan College won the team title with 69 points. 
     Stacy Goode placed 10th with a time of 27:15, followed by her twin sister Kelly Goode (Pleasant Plain, OH) in 27th-place at 28:40.  Emily Doll (Wexford, Pa.) was 49th (33:38).  Olivia Ragno (Johnstown, Pa.) (53rd, 34:17), Lindsay Cale (Hummelstown, Pa.) (55th, 34:33), Brynn Waylonis (Central City, Pa.) (58th, 35:22) and Alexis Petrosky (Natrona Heights, Pa.) (59th, 35:31) rounded out the Lady Cat runners.
     West Virginia Wesleyan won the team title with 69 points.  Seton Hill (75 points), Concord (WV) (76 points), Alderson-Broaddus (84 points) and Wheeling Jesuit (WV) completed the top-five.  PITT-JOHNSTOWN finished seventh with 194 points in the 13-team field.

Cross Country Places 10th at Carnegie Mellon Invitational
     10/10/09...Kelly Goode (Pleasant Plain, OH) placed 38th and twin sister Stacy Goode (Pleasant Plain, OH) finishedd 39th to lead the Lady Cat cross country team to a 10th-place finish with 281 points at Saturday's 158-runner field Carnegie Mellon University Invitational.  Mercyhurst College's Christie Turak won medalist honors with a time of 17:32, but Carnegie Mellon won the team title with 54 points.
     Kelly Goode placed 39th with a time of 21:19.52, followed by  Stacy Goode (Pleasant Plain, OH) in 39th-place less than a second behind at 21:19.70.  Emily Doll (Wexford, Pa.) was 81st (23:11), while Brynn Waylonis (Central City, Pa.) placed 91st at 23:45.  Olivia Ragno (Johnstown, Pa.) finished 99th at 24:14.
     Carnegie won the championship with 54 points.  Clarion University (66 points), Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College (95 points), Mercyhurst (112 points) and Shenandoah (VA) University (114 points) rounded out the  top-five.  PITT-JOHNSTOWN finished 10th with 281 points in the 13-team field.
