Lady Cats Defeat Ohio Valley, 1-0, For Fourth Straight Win
     09/29/12... (Box Score) Janna Stoup's (Carlisle, Pa.) first half goal off of a rebound proved to be the game-winner in the Lady Cats' 1-0 Homecoming WVIAC victory over Ohio Valley (WV) University, Saturday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. The Lady Cats, winners of four straight matches, improved to 8-2-0 overall and 4-1-0 in conference-play.
     After a shot by Lisa Mix (Framingham, MA) was stopped by Ohio Valley goalkeeper Brianna Rice, Stoup found the rebound and deposited her 13th goal of the year in the back of the net 25 minutes into the match.
     Pitt-Johnstown goalkeeper Timi Shiock (Punxsutawney, Pa.) did the rest for the Lady Cats. Shiock, who faced 10 shots and made five saves, held the Fighting Scots scoreless and recorded her four shutout of the season and her second in as many matches.
     Rice took the loss for Ohio Valley after allowing 1 goal on 25 Pitt-Johnstown shots. Rice also made 11 saves to keep the Fighting Scots in the match.
     With the loss, Ohio Valley fell to 1-9-0 overall and 0-4-0 in the WVIAC.
     The Lady Cats wrap-up a stretch of five straight home WVIAC matches against against the University of Charleston (WV) on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field and Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College on Saturday at noon at Richland High School.
