     09/25/12... (Box Score) Derik Swope (Harleysville, Pa.) gave the Mountain Cats an early 1-0 lead, but California University (PA) followed with five unanswered goals to deal the Pitt-Johnstown soccer team a 5-1 non-conference, road loss, Tuesday evening.  The Mountain Cats fell to 0-8-0.
     Swope opened the scoring and gave the Mountain Cats 1-0 advantage after he finished Steve Taslov's (Coraopolis, Pa.) assist 11 minutes into the match.
     However, California (PA) answered with a pair of goals by Jeffrey Kyei in a span of 1:46.  Kyei evened the score in the 20th minute, before putting the Vulcans up 2-1 off of Billy Wilson's assist at the 21-minute mark.
     Wilson's header off of Kyei's corner kick in the 64th minute extended the California (PA) lead to 3-1.
     The Vulcans added an own goal that bounced off of a Mountain Cat seven minutes later, and set the final at 5-1 on a Brad Colvin goal in the 80th minute.
     Eddie Stover (New Kensington, Pa.) suffered the loss in goal for Pitt-Johnstown after allowing five goals.  Stover faced 23 shots and made eight saves.  Shane Donovan earned the victory for the Vulcans after allowing one goal on four Mountain Cat shots.
     With the win, California University (PA) improved to 3-5-0 on the season.
     The Mountain Cats return home to host a Homecoming match against Ohio Valley (WV) University on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.  Pitt-Johnstown will also host the University of Charleston (WV) on October 4 at 4 p.m. and Seton Hill University on October 10 at 4 p.m.
