Lady Cat Volleyball Rolls Over Bluefield State
     09/29/12... (Box Score) Karen Schmidt (Boswell, Pa.), Marina Pecora (Johnstown, Pa.), and Mallory Sikora (Pittsburgh, Pa.) all had six kills to lead the Lady Cat volleyball team to a lopsided 25-9, 25-9, 25-17 sweep over Bluefield State (WV) College, Saturday afternoon in the Sports Center.  Pitt-Johnstown improved to 8-4 overall and 2-3 in the WVIAC.
     Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.) and Larissa Swank (Boswell, Pa.) added five kills each, while Dana Heidenreich (Pittsburgh, Pa.) had four kills.
     Ashley DiRado (Greensburg, Pa.) finished with two kills and a pair of block solos, and Sikora chipped in a block solo and a block assist to go along with her six kills.
     Pitt-Johnstown got 12 set assists from Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.), and nine assists from Nikki Oakes (Pittsburgh, Pa.).
     Kelsey Kohler's (Johnstown, Pa.) 10 digs and Schmidt's seven digs also paced the Lady Cats.
     With the loss, Bluefield State fell to 0-8 overall and 0-4 in conference-play. 
     The Lady Cats begin a stretch of six straight road matches at the Susquehanna University Crusader Classic on Saturday and at Seton Hill University on October 10.  Pitt-Johnstown will return home to host non-conference matches against Point Park University and Mount Aloysius College on October 23 and October 25.
