     09/23/12... (Box Score) Janna Stoup (Carlisle, Pa.) scored a pair of second half goals to lead the Lady Cat soccer team to a 2-1 WVIAC victory over Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University, Sunday night at Richland High School.  With the win,. Pitt-Johnstown improved to 6-2-0 overall and 2-1-0 in conference-play.
     After a scoreless first half, Stoup scored her first goal of the night and gave the Lady Cats a 1-0 lead when she finished a rebound off of Wheeling Jesuit goalkeeper Holly Kraus in the 65th minute.
     Just over a minute later, Stoup notched her 10th goal of the season and second of the evening on a penalty kick to make it it 2-0.
     The Cardinals tried to get back in it with a penalty kick goal by Jenna Klemkowsky in the 88th minute, but it was too late, and Pitt-Johnstown held on for the one goal victory.
     Timi Shiock (Punxsutawney, Pa.) earned the shutout in net for the Lady Cats after facing 18 shots and making five saves.  Kraus suffered the loss for Wheeling Jesuit.  Kraus saw 13 Pitt-Johnstown shots and made five saves, but allowed both goals.
     With the loss, the Cardinals dropped to 1-6-1 overall and 1-3-0 in the WVIAC.
     The Lady Cats continue a stretch of five straight home WVIAC matches against West Liberty (WV) University on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. and Ohio Valley (WV) University on Saturday at 3 p.m.
