09/19/12... (Box Score) Pitt-Johnstown's Derik Swope (Harleysville, Pa.) scored a pair of goals to tie the match on two occasions, but Nicolay Netskar found the back of the net in the 84th minute to lead Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University to a 3-2 WVIAC victory over the Mountain Cats, Wednesday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.  The Mountain Cats fell to 0-6-0 overall and 0-2-0 in conference-play.
The Cardinals took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break on Luke Roan's goal in the 12th minute.
After Mountain Cat goalkeeper Eddie Stover (New Kensington, Pa.) stopped a Wheeling Jesuit penalty kick, Swope answered with a penalty kick goal of his own to knot it at one in the 59th minute.
It remained tied until the 84th minute when the teams exchanged three goals in just over two minutes.
Kevin Robson gave the lead back to Wheeling Jesuit, but Swope netted his second goal of the match off of a Zeke Buchta (Mount Pleasant, Pa.) through ball 37 seconds later.
However, Netskar finished Roan's cross into the box 43 seconds after Swope's tying goal to give the Cardinals the 3-2 victory.
Stover saw 28 Wheeling Jesuit shots and made nine saves, but allowed all three goals.  Cody Thompson earned the win in goal for the Cardinals after facing nine shots and surrendering two goals.
With the win, Wheeling Jesuit improved to 4-3-0 overall and 2-1-0 in the WVIAC.
The Mountain Cats will host a WVIAC match against Concord (WV) University on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before traveling to California University (PA) for a non-conference match on Tuesday.
