First Half PK Goal Sinks Mountain Cats at Bloomsburg
     09/07/12... (Box Score) Fran Miller's penalty kick goal in the 26th minute proved to be lone lone goal in the match and guided Bloomsburg University to a 1-0 victory over the visiting Mountain Cat soccer team, Friday night.  Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 0-3-0.
     Bloomsburg took advantage of a Mountain Cat foul in the box to tally the game-winner in the 26th minute.  Miller capitalized on the ensuing penalty kick by beating Pitt-Johnstown gooalkeeper Tim Ofman (New Florance, Pa.) to the top left side of the net for the only score of the match.

     Huskies' goalkeeper Ramon Lobo, Jr. got the job done for Bloomsburg.  Lobo earned the shutout and was forced to make just three saves.
     Ofman played the first half in goal for the Mountain Cats and allowed one goal.  Ofman faced 11 shots and made five saves.  Eddie Stover (New Kensington, Pa.) held Bloomsburg scoreless in net the second half and made seven saves.
     With the victory, the Huskies improved to 2-1-0.
     The Mountain Cats will make their 2012 home debut with a non-conference match against Slippery Rock on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before opening the WVIAC schedule at West Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday, Sept. 16.
