Cross Country Ninth at Waynesburg Invitational
     09/08/12... (Full Results) The Lady Cat cross country team, led by Stella Sergeyev's (Lancaster, Pa.) 24th-place finish, placed ninth out of 14 teams at Saturday's 2012 Waynesburg College Invitational.  Washington & Jefferson's Kristin Galigan won the individual title with a time of 22:46, while Geneva College won the team championship with 39 points.
     Sergeyev finished 24th out of 132 runners with a time of 26:25 to pace Pitt-Johnstown.  Sasha Peterman (Altoona, Pa.) placed 28th (26:34), and Marissa Albert (Philipsburg, Pa.) finished 47th (27:29)  Rachel Rajter (Johnstown, Pa.) was 56th (27:58), and Christy Monnie (Renfrew, Pa.) was 62nd (28:24) for the Lady Cats.
     Geneva won the team title with 39 points.  California (PA) was second with 54 points.  Waynesburg (80 pts.), Otterbein (90 pts.), and Munkingum (165 pts.) rounded out the top-five.  Pitt-Johnstown finished ninth with 210 team points.
     The Lady Cats travel to the Juniata College Invitational on Saturday and to the St. Vincent College Invitational on Sept. 22.
