     09/06/12... (Box Score) Janna Stoup (Carlisle, Pa.) scored a pair of first half goals and added an assist in the second half to lead the Lady Cat soccer team to 5-0 shutout victory at Westminster College, Thursday night.  Pitt-Johnstown improved to 3-1-0.
     It didn't take the Lady Cats long to get on the scoreboard.  Stoup took Jackie Becerra's (Saddle Brook, NJ) cross and found the back of the net just two minutes into the match.

     Ten minutes later, Stoup netted her second goal of the night off a deflection to put Pitt-Johnstown up 2-0 at the halftime break.
     The Lady Cats made it 3-0 in the 65th minute on Becerra's unassisted tally, before Mary Grace Grandfield (Columbia, MD) finished Stoup's assist to make it 4-0. in the 73rd minute.
     Pitt-Johnstown closed out the scoring and set the final at 5-0 on Maura Koshute's (Johnstown, Pa.) goal two minutes later.
     Timi Shiock (Punxsutawney, Pa.) faced eight shots and made four saves to earn the shutout and  improve to 3-1 in goal for Pitt-Johnstown.  Jenn Cantella suffered the loss for Westminster after allowing five goals and making four saves.
     With the loss, Westminster fell to 1-2-0 on the year.
     The Lady Cats will open their WVIAC schedule at home against Concord (WV) University on Wednesday, at 1 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before traveling to West Virginia Wesleyan College for another conference match on Saturday, Sept. 15.
