     09/04/12... (Box Score) Kelsey Shanabrook (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) collected a game-high 11 kills to lead the Lady Cat volleyball team to its fourth straight win with a 3-0 non-conference sweep over Ohio Valley (WV) University, Tuesday night in the sports Center.  Pitt-Johnstown improved to 4-1.
     The Lady Cats swept the Fighting Scots, 25-18, 25-13, and 25-20.
     Along with Shanabrook, Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.) had seven kills, while Danielle Fleeger (Clarion, Pa.), Ashley DiRado (Greensburg, Pa.), and Larissa Swank (Boswell, Pa.) all chipped-in six kills.
     Nikki Oakes (Pittsburgh, Pa.) (21 assists) and Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.) (17 assists) combined for 38 set assists, while Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) finished with a game-high 17 digs.  Karen Schmidt (Boswell, Pa.), Katie Svetahor (Latrobe, Pa.), and Oakes had seven digs apiece.
     Mallory Sikora (Pittsburgh, Pa.) paced the Lady Cats in blocks with one solo and one assist.
     With the loss, Ohio Valley fell to 0-5. 
     The Lady Cats will open WVIAC play at home against Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University on Wednesday, September 12 at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center, before traveling to Mount Aloysius College for a non-conference match on Saturday, September 15.
