Lady Cats 10th in WVIAC Preseason Cross Country Poll

Pitt-Johnstown’s squad is led by Christy Monnie (Renfrew, Pa.) and Sasha Peterman (Altoona, Pa.). The sophomores each performed well at the 2011 conference meet. The pair will help a young squad vie for a spot in the upper half of the league.
The Griffins captured the 2011 title with 55 points at the conference meet. Seton Hill received nine first-place votes en route to 165 total points in the preseason rankings. Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University picked up four first-place nods and garnered 158 total points for second in the poll.
West Virginia Wesleyan College has been selected third with 137 points, while Concord (WV) University was a solid fourth with 126 points, and Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College and the University of Charleston (WV) tied for fifth with 103 points in the 13-team field.
