Math Placement Exam - Scores vs Placement

Your score on the Math Placement Exam determines what courses are required to satisfy the Quantitative Reasoning Competency of the General Education Requirement.

28 - 35		Advanced Level Placement - Math 0004 or Math 0121	* None
36 - 50	0 - 3	Advanced Level Placement - Math 0004	* None
36 - 50	4 - 10	Advanced Level Placement - Math 0221	* None

*Selection of course may depend on your major. This selection should be made in consultation with your academic advisor.

The Math Placement Exam contains 60 multiple choice questions.

• The first part of the exam consists of 50 algebra questions.
• The second part of the exam consists of 10 trigonometry questions.
• Please bring a scientific calculator for the Math Exam.  Programmable and/or graphing calculators are not allowed.
