     03/21/12... (Game 1) (Game 2) Drew Westover (Flinton, Pa.) collected five hits, including a homerun and three RBI in the opener, and Jake Warner (Dillsburg, Pa.) added seven hits and five RBI in the doubleheader to lead the Mountain Cats to a 17-7 and 10-5 WVIAC sweep at Bluefield State (WV) College on Wednesday.  Pitt-Johnstown improved to 11-10 overall and 4-2 in the WVIAC Northern Division.
     In game one, Westover went 5-for-6 with a double, a homer, and three RBI, and Mike Palkovitz (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) was 4-for-6 with a double and three RBI.  Warner also had four hits, including a pair of doubles and two RBI.  Nathan Pope (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) and Drew Ebersole (Martinsburg, Pa.) each had three hits and drove in two.
     Rylan Schnably (Bedford, Pa.) improved to 2-0 after pitching four innings in relief of starter John Fees (Carrolltown, Pa.)Schnably allowed two runs on four and fanned four.  Fees worked the first three innings and gave up four runs on seven hits.
     In game two, Warner singled, doubled and tripled and drove in two, and Kyle Morrow (McVeytown, Pa.) had two hits and two RBI.  Sam Barbera (Harrisburg, Pa.) also had two hits.
     Derek Younker (Big Cove Tannery, Pa.) pitched two scoreless innings in relief to raise his record to 3-0.  Younker surrendered two hits, struck out four and didn't allow a walk.  Ryan Socol (Pittsburgh, Pa.) tossed the final three innings to earn the save.  Elliott Chamberlain (Six Mile Run, Pa.) started and allowed three unearned runs on two hits in two innings.
     Bluefield State fell to 4-13 overall and 1-6 in the WVIAC Southern Division.
     The Mountain Cats host conference rival Fairmont State (WV) University for a four-game series on Saturday and Sunday, before hosting a WVIAC doubleheader against Ohio Valley (WV) University on Wednesday.  All three doubleheaders are scheduled to start at 1 p.m. at the Point Stadium.
