Please join me for the much-anticipated launch of wireless network connectivity (via Wireless PittNet) in residence facility common areas! A ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m., today, in the 3rd floor common area of the residential portion of the Living-Learning Center. (Please enter via the bridge at the learning side of the Living-Learning Center in order to gain access to the residence hall. For security purposes, please present your Pitt-Johnstown photo ID when entering the residence hall).
This new initiative, in direct response to student requests, creates wireless connectivity in nine locations on campus: lobbies of Hemlock, Hickory, Laurel, Maple, and Oak Halls; third floor study room of Willow Hall; third common area in the Living-Learning Center; the Larkspur Lodge commuter room; and the Buckhorn Lodge study area. Wireless connectivity is also available in Blackington Hall, Biddle Hall, Engineering and Science Building, Krebs Hall, Owen Library, Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center, Sports Center, Student Union, and Whalley Chapel. The service is available to all Pitt-Johnstown students, faculty, and staff at no cost.
