     03/05/12...Mountain Cat sophomore right-hander John Fees (Carrolltown, Pa.) earned WVIAC Pitcher of the Week honors after allowing just one hit and striking out 11 in five innings to lead Pitt-Johnstown over Post (CT) University on Sunday.  Shepherd (WV) University's Nathan Minnich was tabbed WVIAC Player of the Week...      Fees tossed five scoreless innings and held Post to just one hit, while fanning 11 to help Pitt-Johnstown secure an 8-0 victory to open the Spring Trip in Fort Pierce, Fla.
     Minnich, a senior first baseman from Waynesboro, Pa., hit .461 on the week (six-for-13) while driving in nine runs and scoring five. He belted two round-trippers in a three-of-four outing with five RBI and three runs scored in a win over Lock Haven. Minnich had two hits, one of which was a grand slam, in a win over Indiana (Pa.). His three home runs give him 43 for his career, establishing a school record while besting Mike Spry’s mark of 40 from 2000-03.
