Mountain Cats Split Pair With Post
     03/06/12... (Game 1) (Game 2) Rylan Schnably (Bedford, Pa.) pitched a one-hit, complete-game shutout, and Drew Ebersole (Martinsburg, Pa.) drove in two runs to lead the Mountain Cats to a 3-0 victory over Post (CT) University to open Tuesday's doubleheader in Fort Pierce, Fla.  Post took game two 6-2 to earn the split.  Pitt-Johnstown is now 5-5.
     In the opener, Schnably got the job done on the mound, holding Post scoreless on just one hit in the complete-game effort.  Schnably also struckout five and walked four to collect his first victory.
     Ebersole went 1-for-3 with two RBI, while Jake Warner had three hits in four at-bats for the Mountain Cats.  Kyle Morrow (McVeytown, Pa.) and Zach Vignero (Johnstown, Pa.) each had two hits, and Drew Westover (Flinton, Pa.) accounted for Pitt-Johnstown's other RBI.
 In game two, Post scored four runs (2 earned) off of Mountain Cat reliever Nate Plummer (Bellwood, Pa.) to secure the 6-2 win.  Plummer pitched one inning, and gave up four runs on just one hit.  Nathan Pope (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) started and surrendered one run on three hits in five innings.  Pope also struckout four and walked one.
     Vignero had two more hits, and Morrow and Warner each drove in a run for Pitt-Johnstown in the loss. 

     The Mountain Cats wrap-up their trip to Fort Pierce, FL with a 9-inning game against Mercy (NY) College on Thursday and a WVIAC doubleheader against West Virginia Wesleyan College on Friday.  Pitt-Johnstown will then return home to host a WVIAC doubleheader against West Virginia State University on March 13 at the Point Stadium.
