Baseball Shuts Out Post to Open Spring Trip
     03/04/12... (Box Score) Andy Ebersole (Martinsburg, Pa.) drove in five runs, and John Fees (Carrolltown, Pa.) and Kody Reighard (Salix, Pa.) combined to hold Post (CT) University to just three hits in an 8-0 Mountain Cat shutout to open the 2012 Spring Trip in Fort Pierce, Fla., Sunday night. Pitt-Johnstown evened its record at 3-3.
     Ebersole had two hits and five RBI, while Zach Vignero (Johnstown, Pa.) went 3-for-5 with a double. Kyle Morrow (McVeytown, Pa.) added two hits, including a double and and RBI, and Drew Westover (Flinton, Pa.) doubled and singled for the Mountain Cats.
     Fees pitched the first five shutout innings and allowed just one hit while striking out 11 to even his record at 1-1. Reighard tossed the final four scoreless innings and scattered just two hits. Reighard also fanned six to get the save.
     The Mountain Cats continue their spring trip to Fort Pierce, FL with doubleheaders agaont Chestnut Hill College on Monday and Post on Tuesday. Following the spring trip, Pitt-Johnstown will return home to host a WVIAC doubleheader against West Virginia State University on March 13 at the Point Stadium.
