Baseball Suffers 6-0 Loss at Shepherd

Shepherd (WV) University built a 4-0 lead after four innings, before adding two more unearned runs in the sixth inning to hand the Mountain Cat baseball team a 6-0 non-conference loss, Saturday afternoon in Shepherdstown, WV. Pitt-Johnstown skipped to 2-1.

Matt McMillen (Johnstown, Pa.)
accounted for the four Pitt-Johnstown hits.
Kody Reighard (Salix, Pa.)
got the start and suffered the loss after allowing three runs on three hits in 2.2 innings.
Derek Younker (Big Cove Tannery, Pa.)
tossed the final 5.1 innings and surrendered three runs (1 earned) on four hits.
Paul Hvozdovic got the win on the mound for Shepherd. Hvozdovic pitched seven scoreless innings for the Rams, while Nathan Minninch belted a solo homerun in the victory.
Shepherd improved to 2-4.
The Mountain Cats wrap-up the three-game non-conference series with a doubleheader on Sunday against the Rams, before traveling to Fort Pierce, FL for the annual Spring Trip from March 4-9.
