Assistant Professor, Business Accounting and Finance

Non-tenure track position as Assistant Professor, Business Accounting and Finance, beginning in August 2012. The initial contract will be for three years and is renewable. Required: PhD in Business or related field preferred, MBA or equivalent Masters degree and professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) and teaching experience in accounting at the undergraduate level.  Appropriate professional experience and interest and willingness to teach small business accounting are also desirable.

Teaching responsibilities include four courses (12 credit hours) each academic semester, including introductory and intermediate accounting, advanced accounting, and selected other courses in managerial accounting depending on program needs and candidate interests. The successful candidates will also be expected to assist in all departmental operations, including academic advising and career counseling, and to engage in appropriate professional development.

The Business Department offers four-year undergraduate degree programs in Business, with concentrations in accounting (financial accounting and managerial accounting tracks), finance, business information systems, management (general and human resources), and marketing. Introductory courses in accounting and finance are taken by all Business majors.
