
Lady Cat Basketball Picked 10th in WVIAC

Pitt-Johnstown received 105 points to round out the top-10 in the WVIAC's 15-team field.
The Pioneers were first on 12 ballots while garnering 219 total points to lead the way. Concord (WV) University picked-up two first-place nods en route to second in the poll (178 points), while West Virginia Wesleyan College was third with 177 points. The Bobcats garnered four second-place votes.
The University of Charleston (WV), which won the regular season a year ago, earned one first-place vote and was chosen fourth in the preseason poll with 172 total points. West Liberty (WV) University rounded was fifth with 158 points. The Hilltoppers were second on three ballots and third on three ballots.
Fairmont State (WV) University and Seton Hill University each totaled 151 points to tie for sixth. The Falcons had one second-place vote, and the Griffins tallied two.
West Virginia State University (118 pts) was chosen eighth, edging Shepherd (WV) University (116 pts.) by two points.
Ohio Valley (WV) University was selected 11th (89 pts.) and Davis & Elkins (WV) College was 12th (60 pts.). Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University (48 pts.), Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College (32 pts.) and Bluefield State (WV) College (26 pts.) completed the WVIAC women’s basketball preseason poll.
