Matt Palo, the WPIAL’s leading scorer as a senior, played for head Coach Lynn Washowich at Norwin High School where he scored 1,269 career points and was named Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Athlete of the Year in 2010-11. He averaged 10.7 points per game for his career, including 30.2 points and 6.2 assists per game as a senior on his way to guiding Norwin to the WPIAL Playoffs two consecutive years. In addition, he was named Tribune Review Terrific-10, Daily News Fab 15, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Fab-Five East. Palo earned Second-Team All-WPIAL-MSA.com and was selected to play in both the Pittsburgh Roundball Classic and the WPIAL All-Star Game.
