Red-Shirt Freshman Season (2009-2010)
Ryan took over the starting job at 125 lbs. and did not disappoint on his way to qualifying for the National Tournament with a fourth-place finish at the Super Region I Tournament. He climbed near the top of the regional rankings before ending the year with a 22-9 overall record and a 9-4 mark in dual meets. His 14 decision wins tied for third on the team. He also recorded three technical falls, two major decisions, two falls and one default. Ryan won the title at the Washington & Jefferson Collegiate Open to kick-off his Mountain Cat career.
Sophomore Season (2010-2011)
Ryan moved up a weight class to 133 lbs. and climbed as high a No. 2 in the NWCA individual rankings. He finished second at the Super Region I Tournament on his way to becoming an All-American with a fourth-place finish at the National Tournament. Ryan was 29-4 overall and a perfect 12-0 in dual meets. His 29 victories tied for the team lead, and his 20 decisions were second on the squad. Ryan won the title at the Wilkes University Open and placed third at the Washington & Jefferson Collegiate Open.
Three-year letterman...posted a 45-4 record as a senior and a 121-23 career record...two-time PIAA AA state qualifier…2008 PIAA AA State Place Winner (6th).
Born March 1, 1990...majoring in Business...High Honor Roll student in high school...son of Steve Link and Joyce Murphy of Cresson, Pa.
