Kaitlynn Fratz finished her career at Northern Garrett (MD) High School as Garrett County’s all-time leading scorer for both boys and girls with 2,103 points. She averaged 26.1 points per game as a senior and 21.9 points per game in her four years as a starter. Fratz, a four-time Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference (AMAC) First-Team All-Conference selection and the 2010 and 2011 AMAC Player of the Year, holds school records for career points (2,103), assists (305), and steals (284), and the single season scoring record with 734 points.
Fratz, a two-time Cumberland Times News All-Area Player of the Year and the 2010-11 Cumberland Times News Athlete of the Year, led Northern Garrett to the 2011 Maryland State Championship game for only the second time in school history.
Along with basketball, Fratz was also a four-year letter-winner in softball, soccer and track. In 2010, she earned the Cumberland Times News All-Area Outstanding Offensive Player of the Year as a member of the soccer team.
Fratz, was the vice president of her senior class, graduated with a 3.3 overall GPA.
She was coached by her father Steve Fratz and Pete Brosnihan at Northern Garrett High School.
