Kelsey Sleighter was a four-year letter winner and a three-year starter at Uniontown High School where she was named to the Pennsylvania All-State Girls’ Basketball Team following the 2010-11 season. She finished her career as the school’s second all-time leading scorer with 1,245 points. Sleighter, just the third Lady Raider to reach the 1,000-point plateau, also amassed 145 three-pointers, 503 rebounds, 328 assists, and 254 steals. She also shot 87% from the free-throw line. As a senior, she finished second in the WPIAL in scoring (19.3 ppg.) and second in three-pointers (49). Sleighter, a three-time WPIAL All-Section selection and a three-time All-County choice, also averaged 4.5 steals per game as a senior. She was tabbed a Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Terrific 10 and played in the 2011 Pittsburgh Roundball Classic.
Sleighter was named to the 2010 US Junior National AAU Basketball All-Tournament Team as a member of the Nate Smith Basketball Club Team in Morgantown, W.Va.
In the classroom, Sleighter, a 2010-11 Uniontown High School Scholar-Athlete Award recipient, graduated fourth in her class and was a member of the National Honor Society.
She was coached by Jason Winfrey at Uniontown High School.
