Men's Soccer Seventh in WVIAC Preseason Poll
     08/04/11..Head Coach Eric Kinsey's Mountain Cat soccer team, coming off of its fourth straight berth in the conference tournament, has been picked to finish seventh in the 2011 WVIAC Preseason Coaches Poll released on Thursday.  The Mountain Cats garnered 41 points.  The University of Charleston (WV) and West Virginia Wesleyan College each received five first-place votes and 95 points to tie for the top spot in the poll...      Charleston and West Virginia Wesleyan each had five second-place votes to go along with their first-place nods.  West Virginia Wesleyan advanced to the NCAA national quarterfinals in 2010 after defeating Charleston in the Sweet 16.
     Davis & Elkins (WV) College is coming off a 4-3-2 league campaign and was chosen third with 66 points. The team received five third-place votes.
     Shepherd (WV) University, which finished with a 12-6 mark a year ago, was just behind the Senators with 63 total points, while Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University’s 61 points were good enough for fifth in the poll.
