Welcome to the Education Division at the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown. The Division is a dynamic and supportive environment to learn and to work. Currently we offer four teacher preparation programs leading to baccalaureate degrees along with related Pennsylvania state certification(s). We also offer opportunities for post-baccalaureate study. Because the Division seeks to remain at the forefront and to lead change within the profession, several new areas of study are in the works. In addition, we remain dedicated to the development of partnerships that are responsive to the regional needs.
Key distinguishing attributes of our programs are: individualized support, coherent and sequential scheduling of courses, intellectually stimulating course content, frequent field practicums, and opportunities for international clinical experiences.
The faculty and I are committed to the preparation of future educators who are knowledgeable, resourceful, and prepared to make positive contributions to the schools and communities in which they teach.
I invite you to learn more about our programs by exploring our website or by contacting our office. We welcome motivated students and educators to study and work with us here at Pitt-Johnstown.
