Mountain Cats Defeat Northland to End Spring Trip With Four Straight Wins
     Head Coach Todd Williams and the Pitt Johnstown baseball team wrapped up the 2005 Spring Trip to Fort Pierce, FL with four straight victories, including a 4-1 win over Northland (WI) College Thursday afternoon. The Mountain Cats, who were forced to play three games on Thursday due to a rainout the day before, finished the Spring Trip with a 6-4 record. Pitt Johnstown returns home with an 8-4 overall record to start the season.
     Junior first baseman Casey Long (Johnstown, Pa.) went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI and sophomore infielder Dan Delsignore (Johnstown, Pa.) added a two-run double to lead the Mountain Cats. Senior right hander Reggie Weaver (Meyersdale, Pa.) picked up his second win of the year with a complete-game, two-hitter. Weaver also struckout four Northand batters.
     Pitt Johnstown travels to Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College on Tuesday and to Slippery Rock University on Thursday.
