Pitt-Johnstown Baseball Team Defeats
Northwestern (MN) College, 4-2,
in Fort Pierce, FL Head Coach Todd Williams and the Mountain Cat baseball team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-2 victory over Northwestern (MN) College Wednesday morning in Fort Pierce, FL. With the victory, Pitt-Johnstown improved to 5-4 on the year.
Senior outfielder Adam Fairman (Creekside, Pa.) collected two hits and scored three runs, and sophomore outfielder Cody Gallaher (Sidman, Pa.) drove in two runs to lead Pitt-Johnstown. Sophomore pitcher Zach Stere (Bellwood, Pa.) picked up his first collegiate win after pitching five solid innings in the rain-shortened game. Stere scattered five hits, struckout three and walked only one to earn the victory.
Pitt-Johnstown continues its Spring Trip in Fort Pierce, FL with a single games against Northland (WI) College Wednesday night, before wrapping up its southern swing with a doubleheader against the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
