Mrs. Hoffman, a financial aid assistant, has been a member of the Pitt-Johnstown campus staff for 23 years, and received the President’s Staff Award for Excellence in Service to the Community.  In addition to her role on the Pitt-Johnstown campus, Hoffman is actively involved in several volunteer activities including: a service project at the Women’s Help Center, “Pitt-Johnstown @ Your Service” Week Humane Society clean up, and a yearly volunteer as a Salvation Army bell ringer for the Red Kettle Campaign. She is also a Bethel United Methodist church volunteer, where she serves as bible study teacher, and has been a member of the administrative board and the council of ministries for more than 20 years.

Ms. Owens, who has been a member of the Pitt-Johnstown campus staff for 33 years, received the President’s Staff Award for Excellence in Service to Pitt-Johnstown.  Owens is currently the Business Office student account specialist who handles all student transactions and bank reports. She is actively involved with students and their parents by helping them with their accounts and tuition payments, and serving as the “go to person” when questions arise.  She also assists various Pitt-Johnstown offices with their cash deposits, which even includes giving staff members training on these reports.

Founded in 1927, Pitt-Johnstown is located in the Laurel Highlands of Western Pennsylvania and is the first and largest regional campus of the University of Pittsburgh.  The University offers a high-quality educational experience in a supportive living-learning environment designed to prepare students for the real world of the 21st century.  Pitt-Johnstown is recognized by U.S.News & World Report as a “Best Baccalaureate College,” by the Princeton Review as a “Best Northeastern College,” and by G.I.
