(Full WVIAC Release)
Davis & Elkins, the defending regular season champions, nabbed four first place votes to edge West Virginia Wesleyan College, 90-85, atop the league's annual coaches' poll.  Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University received one first place vote and placed third, while upstart Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College was fourth.  The Battlers grabbed the final two votes for the top spot.  Concord (WV) University completes the upper half of the poll at fifth.  University of Charleston (WV), Pitt-Johnstown, Seton Hill University, Shepherd (WV) University, and Ohio Valley (WV) University round out the balloting.
Pitt-Johnstown, 8-10 overall and 4-6 in the WVIAC in 2009, will field a relatively inexperienced squad in 2010 as the 20 of the 26 Lady Cats are freshmen or sophomores.  Sophomore Lindsey Roessler (Chalfont, Pa.) (2g, 7a) and senior Brittney Miller (Slippery Rock, Pa.) (4g, 2a) are the top returning scorers for the Lady Cats.
