The Division of Nursing and Health offers a variety of educational opportunities to prepare students for rewarding careers in the healthcare field. Programs administered through the Division include: the Baccalaureate of Nursing degree, the Bachelor of Science in healthcare (previously the Bachelor of Science in health-related professions); the RN Options (RN-to-BSN) degree; the School Nurse Certificate program; and associate degree programs in respiratory care, surgical technology, and emergency medical services. The Division is also responsible for graduate-level programs offered in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing. Currently, those programs include the Acute-Care Nurse Practitioner Program and the Family Nurse Practitioner Program.
Through the Division, Pitt-Johnstown maintains cooperative relationships with several healthcare facilities, both in the greater Johnstown area and in the surrounding counties of west and south-central Pennsylvania. Locally, relationships have been established with facilities including Memorial Medical Center, Windber Medical Center and Windber Research Institute.
