Goodwill Visit: DVBIC

Faculty, staff, and students from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown were out in the community in full-force from October 18 through the 24th as part of of the college’s “Pitt-Johnstown @ Your Service” week. The project included nearly 30 service projects and events for the community.

The week-long service initiative was the second “Pitt-Johnstown @ Your Service” week, which debuted in March.  During that week, the campus community performed more than 150 volunteer hours while sponsoring 20 service projects and community events.

Goodwill Visit: Defense Veterans Brain Injury Center

Residents of the Defense Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) were treated to a picnic dinner compliments of Pitt-Johnstown during "@ Your Service" Week.  We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to everyone at the DVBIC for allowing us the privilege of visiting their facility and sharing a meal with the residents.  It was an experience that was both rewarding and enlightening.
