Twenty-seven local cheerleading teams will compete at the 15th annual University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Cheer and Dance Classic Saturday, November 14, at the Pitt-Johnstown Sports Center.
Cheerleaders competing include Conemaugh Township, Ferndale, Conemaugh Valley, Richland, Bishop McCort, Forest Hills, Chestnut Ridge, Portage, Somerset, Windber, Saltsburg, Central, Bishop Guilfoyle, Greater Johnstown as well as Turners All-Stars. Pee Wee, elementary varsity, junior high, small varsity, medium varsity, and large varsity high school cheerleaders from each school will compete. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the competition starts at 10:15 a.m.
The event is sponsored by the Pitt-Johnstown Cheerleaders. Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults and can be bought at the door.
