     10/17/09...Three different Lady Cats scored second half goals, including Stephanie Szczur's (Johnstown, Pa.) game-winner in the 73rd minute to lead Pitt-Johnstown to a 3-2 WVIAC victory at the University of Charleston (WV) on Saturday.  The Lady Cats improved to 7-6-0 overall and 4-3-0 in conference play.
     After a scoreless first half, the Lady Cats and Golden Eagles combined for five goals in the second half.
     Pitt-Johnstown took a 1-0 lead when Alicia Zack (Irwin, Pa.) finished Laura Hoehn's(Braddock Hills, Pa.) pass in the 58th minute.  Charleston answered with a goal of its own in the 63rd minute, before Kelsey Richardson (Scottdale, Pa.) set up Lauren Penn (Plum, Pa.), who beat Charleston goalkeeper Whitney Sharp two minutes later to give Pitt-Johnstown to lead back.
     Szczur then took Gena Pentz' pass and found the back of the net in the 72nd minute to increase the lead to 3-1.  The Golden Eagles added a goal in the 76th minute, but that was as close as it would get.
     Lady Cat goalkeeper Victoria Der Vanik (Bridgeville, Pa.) surrendered two goals and made five saves to earn the win.  Sharp took the loss after giving up three goals and making 11 saves.
     Charleston fell to 3-11-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the WVIAC. 
     The Lady Cats wrap-up a stretch of four straight road matches at West Virginia Tech on Sunday and at Shepherd (WV) University on Thursday.  Pitt-Johnstown will play its next home match and celebrate Senior Day against Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. at Johnstown's Point Stadium.
