     10/05/09...Kristin Irwin (Bellefonte, Pa.) and Nicole Houser (Penn Run, Pa.) each had eight kills, one block solo and two block assists to lead the Lady Cat volleyball team to its second straight victory a 3-0 sweep over Mount Aloysius College, Monday night in the Sports Center.  Pitt-Johnstown improved to 4-11 on the year.
     The Lady Cats defeated Mount Aloysius 25-17, 25-17, 25-14.
     Ashley Hogan (Northern Cambria, Pa.) had eight kills and two block assists, while Sam Link (Ebensburg, Pa.) added five kills.  Taylor Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) had four kills and a team-high 13 digs, and Kelly Miller (Stoystown, Pa.) and Jessica Heidenthal (Clymer, Pa.) chipped in four and three kills, respectively.
     Head Coach Linda Renzi also got a career-high 39 assists from Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.).  Abby Gearhart (Elton, Pa.) (11 digs), Lauren Pennewill (Dallastown, Pa.) (9 digs) and Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) combined for 27 digs in the win.
     Chelsea Perehinec collected four kills, and Lauren Oldham had 10 assists to lead Mount Aloysius, which fell to 6-8.
     The Lady Cats travel to the WVIAC-CIAA Crossover Tournament at Shepherd (WV) University on Friday and Saturday, before returning home to host a WVIAC match against Seton Hill University on Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
