Cross Country Places Fifth at Pitt-Greensburg Invitational
10/03/09...Stacy Goode (Pleasant Plain, OH) placed 10th to lead the Lady Cat cross country team to a fifth-place finish with 228 points at Saturday's Pitt-Greensburg Bobcat Invitational. Grove City College's Sara Fisher won medalist honors with a time of 24:23 on her way to leading her team the championship with 17 points.
Stacy Goode placed 10th with a time of 25:58, followed by twin sister Kelly Goode (Pleasant Plain, OH) in 12th-place at 26:08. Emily Doll (Wexford, Pa.) was 33rd (28:53), while Olivia Ragno (Johnstown, Pa.) (31:15) and Brynn Waylonis (Central City, Pa.) (31:25) were 51st and 53rd, respectively.
Grove City won the team title with 17 points, followed by Penn State-Altoona (96 points), Geneva College (79 points), Waynesburg College (125 points) and PITT-JOHNSTOWN (145 points). Thiel College (159 points), Point Park University (179 points), Chatham College (207 points), Pitt-Greensburg (228 points), Hiram College (265 points) and Mount Aloysius College (342 points) rounded out the 11-team field.
The Lady Cats travel to the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational on Saturday and to the WVIAC Championships at Glenville State (WV) College on October 24.
