The atmosphere was literally explosive as Pitt-Johnstown’s favorite Mad Scientist David Willey dazzled audiences with his “How Does a Thing Like That Work” performance. The standing-room-only crowd gathered under the big top to watch as Dave performed several feats, all of which demonstrated various principles of physics. At one point, Dave rested on a bed of nails while his wife, Raven, placed another bed of nails on top of him...and then pounded it with a sledge hammer (ouch!). As one young audience member described it, the performance was “VERY cool.”
