Cross Country Places Seventh at California (PA) Invitational
09/05/09...Stacy Goode (Pleasant Plain, OH) placed 27th in a 108-runner field to lead the Lady Cat cross country team to a seventh-place finish as Saturday's California University (PA) Invitational. Mercyhurst College's Christie Turak's time of 17:49 led all runners, but Grove City College won the team competition with 54 points.
Stacy Goode placed 27th with a time of 20:54, followed by Kelly Goode (Pleasant Plain, OH) in 30th-place at 21:02. Emily Doll (Wexford, Pa.) was 54th (23:34), while Olivia Ragno (Johnstown, Pa.) (24:52) and Lindsay Cale (Hummelstown, Pa.) (26:00) were 59th and 62nd, respectively.
Grove City won the team championship with 54 points, followed by California (PA) (66 points), Clarion University (90 points), Seton Hill University (95 points) and St. Vincent College (102 points). Mercyhurst (134 points), PITT-JOHNSTOWN (232 points), West Liberty (WV) University (235 points), Point Park University (241 points) and Muskingum (OH) College (253 points) rounded out the field.
The Lady Cats travel to the Saint Vincent College Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26. and to the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcat Classic on Saturday, Oct. 3.
