ATH08_015_NeffC_TMen's Soccer Opens With 1-0 Overtime Loss at U.D.C.
     08/29/09...The University of the District of Columbia netted the match's lone goal on an overtime penalty kick to deal Head Coach Eric Kinsey's Mountain Cat soccer team a 1-0 road loss to open the 2009 season.  Senior goalkeeper Craig Neff (Elizabethtown, Pa.) made two saves for Pitt-Johnstown.
     U.D.C.'s Said Nabih beat Neff on a penalty kick eight minutes into the first overtime period to lead the Firebirds to the 1-0 win.
     The Firebirds out shot the Mountain Cats 18-7 and held an 8-2 advantage in shots  on-goal.  U.D.C. goalkeeper Kareem Gray made two saves to help the Firebirds improve to 1-0-1.
     The Mountain Cats will make their 2009 home debut on Tuesday against Waynesburg University at 4 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown soccer field, before hosting the 2009 Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Kick-Off Classic on Sept. 6-7.
