Congratulations to Advisory Board member Mr. Howard M. "Skip" Picking, III on being elected to the University of Pittsburgh Board of Trustees.
Mr. Picking has long been a friend to Pitt-Johnstown, serving as a member of the Advisory Board since 1974. In addition to being the Board’s vice chair, he currently chairs the Board's Finance Committee and previously chaired the Board’s Development Committee. Mr. Picking and his wife, Adelle, have endowed the annual Great Americans Day lecture series, which has brought national experts and hundreds of high school students and community members to Pitt-Johnstown for more than a decade. They have also created an endowed scholarship focusing on entrepreneurship in business. We are particularly appreciative of the support that Mr. Picking consistently demonstrates for our students through his regular attendance at campus events.
Pitt-Johnstown is fortunate to have someone of Mr. Picking’s commitment, passion and integrity serving on the Pitt Board of Trustees. Congratulations, Skip!
