Faculty

MAY 6, 2008: As of the end of the Spring semester, 2008, all three full-time faculty have either retired (Kaktins) or resigned (Kopf, Beuthin).  Searches are currently in progress to fill the positions vacated by Drs. Kaktins and Kopf. Until this spring, all three of these positions were tenure-stream/tenured positions.  President Spectar, however, reallocated one of these tenure stream positions such that one of the three faculty positions is now a visiting appointment with a limited term contract.  The fate of Dr. Beuthin's position is currently unknown (Will it be reallocated?  Will it be replaced by a visiting appointment?).  For further information about the transitional nature of the Geology Department and future class offerings, please contact Dr. Charles Hinderliter, Chair of Natural Sciences (269-2901).
