     03/17/08...Head coach Todd Williams' Mountain Cat baseball team, 14-2 on the year and winners of eight straight games, is ranked #23 in this week's NCAA Division II National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association (NCBWA) poll, released on Wednesday... (NCBWA Rankings)
     Pitt-Johnstown, which received two votes for the poll last week, moved into the top-25 for the first time in coach Williams' 12-year tenure.  The Mountain Cats are ranked #23 with 52 points.
     Grand Valley State (MI) is the top-ranked team in Division II with 316 points.  Southern Arkansas (296 points), Barry (FL) (287 points), Emporia State (KS) (281 points) and Mesa State (CO) (280 points) round out the top-five.
     The NCBWA poll will be released weekly throughout the 2009 season.
