Diane Lenio, University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown administrative assistant in the Personal Counseling Center, was named this year’s recipient of the President’s Staff Award for Excellence in Service to Pitt-Johnstown.
In presenting the award, Pitt-Johnstown President Dr. Jem Spectar offered, “Keenly committed to our students, Ms. Lenio is known across the campus for the sincerity and warmth with which she welcomes everyone who enters the Personal Counseling Center. Her nurturing style and compassionate attitude reassure the students and contribute significantly to the success of the Personal Counseling Center.”
Ms. Lenio, who joined Pitt-Johnstown in 1998, is an active member of the Pitt-Johnstown Staff Activities and Concerns Association, and raised nearly $500 as the team captain for the Susan G. Komen Passionately Pink for the Cure Campaign. She also is involved with the annual Trick or Treat for Pitt-Johnstown students, Freshman Move-In Day, Commencement, and the staff picnic on the campus mall.
Ms. Lenio was recognized at the annual staff luncheon held Tuesday, December 16 where she was presented with an engraved mantle clock.
