Six hundred local cheerleaders will compete at the 14th annual University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Cheer and Dance Classic Saturday, November 8, at the Pitt-Johnstown Sports Center.
Cheerleaders from Conemaugh Township, Richland, Conemaugh Valley, Greater Johnstown, Forest Hills, Portage, Windber, Bishop McCort, Bishop Guilfoyle, and Altoona high schools as well as Turners All-Stars will compete. Pee Wee and junior high school cheerleaders from each school also will compete. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and the competition begins at 11 a.m.
The event is sponsored by the Pitt-Johnstown Cheerleaders. Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults and can be bought at the door.
