20 New Faculty Members Appointed

     Twenty new full-time faculty members have joined the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

     Dr. Xianzhi (Amanda) Song, assistant professor of chemistry, holds a PhD from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and an associate, BS and MS from the University of Petroleum, China.

      Guo Kai, assistant professor of finance and economics, is PhD in progress at the University of Mississippi, and holds an MA from the University of Mississippi and BA from Zhongnan University of Finance and Economics, China.

     Dr. Ann Rea, visiting assistant professor of English, holds a doctorate and MA from Rutgers University, MA from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, and BA from the University of Essex, England.

     Amber Jade Helsel, visiting laboratory instructor of chemistry, is a PhD in progress at SUNY-Buffalo and holds a BS from Juniata College.

     James C. Teague Jr., assistant professor of finance, holds an MS and BS from Clemson University.

     Dr. Thomas Fuchs, visiting assistant professor of biology, holds a PhD from Bowling Green University and an MA from the University of Vienna, Austria.

     Diana L. Schroeder, visiting instructor of nursing, holds an MSN from Indiana University, BSN from the University of Illinois, and Diploma from the Franciscan School of Nursing.

     Elizabeth R. Goeke, visiting assistant professor of geology and planetary science, is a PhD in progress at the University of Iowa, and holds an MS from Indiana University and BA from Middlebury College.

     Grace F. Markum, assistant professor of marketing, holds an MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a BA from Pitt-Johnstown.

     Dr. Carrie E. Davis Todd, assistant professor of geology and planetary science, hold a PhD from Purdue University, MS from Ohio University and BA from Carleton College.

     Dr. Daniel Allan Nail Jr., assistant professor of secondary education-English, holds a PhD, MEd and BA from the University of Florida.

     Dr. Andrew R. Sherwood, assistant professor of sociology, hold a PhD and MA from York University and a BA from Glendon College.

     Tracy J. Fisanick, laboratory instructor of chemistry, holds an MS from the University of California and a BS from West Virginia University.

     Jennifer JS Manges, laboratory instructor of biology, holds an MS and BS from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a BS from Pitt-Johnstown.

     Cherri A. Randall, assistant professor of English, is a PhD in progress at the University of Arkansas, and holds an MFA from the University of Arkansas and BA from Cameron University.

     Dr. Katrin Monecke, visiting assistant professor of geology and planetary science, holds a PhD from ETH Zurich, Switzerland and an MS and BS from the University of Hannover, Germany.

     Roelof H. deVries, assistant professor of mechanical engineering technology, holds an MS from Cornell University and a BS from Lafayette College.

     Kevin C. Stewart, visiting instructor of English, holds an MFA from the University of Arkansas, MA from Radford University, BA from Concord College, and BS from Bluefield State College.

     Kristen L. Majocha, assistant professor of communication, holds a PhD, ABD, from Duquesne University, MA from Duquesne University, and a BA from Slippery Rock University.

     Victoria C. Czarnek, visiting instructor of mathematics, holds an MS from Virginia Tech and a BA from the College of William and Mary.
