WUPJ- TV

WUPJ-TV's mission is to educate those students specifically interested in the field of broadcast journalism. The station produces a weekly news broadcast "Mountain Cat News."

The station was started in the fall semester of 1998 by Chris Cameron and his advisor, Dave Hearst. The original group was comprised of nine industrious UPJ students. Since then, WUPJ has grown from a small off-shoot of the audio-visual department to a fully independent digital studio. UPJ students who were members of WUPJ-TV have gone on to on-air jobs at local stations in Johnstown and Pittsburgh.
